Why do you need a “Strangler”?
“Strangler” is needed so that your software doesn’t do overruns and take numbers for each thread.
Explain, I don’t get it
That is, you put 100 threads to register, let’s say, mails, and your software will take 100 numbers.
After a couple of seconds all numbers will receive SMS and will just rest until the software finishes 100 threads and starts again, so you will hardly fit in 20 minutes of number activity on the SMS-activation service.
“Strangler” prevents this request for numbers and limits your flows.
How does it work?
For example, for 100 streams and a limit of 80 numbers in “Strangler” only 80 numbers will be taken, and the 20 remaining streams will remain in standby mode.
When streams from the first 80 receive SMS, the numbers will be released and the remaining 20 streams will pick them up.
In this scheme numbers are used more efficiently and you save a lot of money and time.
